Promodlive V2 Released

Once again, we are graced with yet another Promod release! So has it solved all our problems in the latest Promod releases? Like all Promod releases, the answer is no. Why is the answer no? That is simple: no one can make up their minds as to what they want.

On top of that, known errors are still present in the release! Already with the release notes of Promod Live v2 comes a little add on promising us a Hotfix ASAP! I'm so glad they mentioned that, thanks guys for releasing another broken version. Now wait just one second, doesn't this sound like the release of CODWAW? Oh yes, I remember now, the game that had a patch released before some original copies of the game even hit some shelves! That was a wondrous success, I'm so glad that people have learn their lesson from that.

Let us see what was said about this in the release then, and I quote from Jan "paradox" Duchon (Mod tester) "It is basically the same mod only with additions and bugfixes." Ah, good I'm glad that's cleared up, because I could have sworn that just below that they admit to neglecting certain bugs. It would have been terrible is the who purpose of a new version of Promod was to fix bugs and they didn’t even include bug fixes for known errors, that would have been awful!

Now let's take a look at exactly what is in this new soon to come promised Hotfix:
"What will be in that Hotfix?:

- mod version: PromodLIVE v2.01!
- class limits bug fixed
- fs_game path checker removed"

Oh my, I just can't hold back my excitement! They are going to add .01 to v2!!! I am literally jumping for joy, this is mind boggling stuff, how can they even dream of doing such an update! Right so in reality the first so called "hotfix" is adding a figure to the file name. Wanted to bulk out that list eh fellas?

Why in carnation release a new version of a Mod that you know needs to be updated with issues already known? Save yourselves the trouble, save us the trouble! The internet could have done with one less paragraph on Promod, but no! Another rushed release. You have wasted every server admin's time in having to update their servers twice, when you knew full well of the current errors in the release. So yes, thank you for another Promod release.

Yours Sincerely

Gossip Girl
xoxo

The config file is the file that holds all the game settings, e.g. max fps, draw decals, max packets etc. You can download configs from lots of diffrent websites, these configs will offer you better FPS, smoother game play, nicer graphics etc...

To change a config you need to put the config file in the correct location, the config file is named "Config_mp.cfg" and each OS has a diffrent location:

Windows XP
C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty - Modern Warfare\players\profiles\

Windows Vista / Windows 7
C:\Users\\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\players\profiles\

or

C:\Program Files\Activision\players\profiles\

If you cannot see the files, they might be hidden.
To enable hidden files follow these 3 steps:

1)On the Tools menu in any Window(Press the Alt key to view the menu bar in Windows Vista/7), click Folder Options.
2)Click the View tab.
3)Under Hidden files and folders, click Show hidden files and folders.
