While writing this, we are all too aware of what this page is supposed to be. Some corporate speech about how wonderful we are, why you should agree with everything we do and how much our shareholders like us. That's just not how we run things though. We believe in personally knowing all of our clients, from small web sites to large dedicated servers; and we'd like to think they know us pretty well too.

We started out in 2007, when your choices were pretty similar to today frankly. You can either go with a large GSP (game server/service provider) who really doesn't care who you are and what you need. Or you can go with the guy that started last week and will be gone by the week after next, along with your money, server and those mods you painstakingly installed. We consider ourselves the alternative, a provider large enough to be stable, yet still small enough to know more about its clients than what they pay each month. A happy medium if you will.

We're known for being a bit different, and we like it that way.

All our hardware is owned by us outright (not leased or rented) and we go direct with the data centre, Bluesquare in Maidenhead. There are no middle men.

The servers themselves are single use, meaning we don't mix games up. If you buy a Call of Duty server, you won't find a Counter Strike one on the same machine and vice versa. The base is as follows:

While our automation systems allow you to have a game server (or voice server) up and running in 10 minutes. We don't believe that's the end of it, as so many of our competitors do. The servers are constantly monitored by hand to ensure they are as fast and as reliable as possible.

Privacy and security are taken very seriously at LinX Hosting. Our entire billing area and order process is encrypted with 256bit SSL. We never share information with 3rd parties and go way beyond the data protection act (DPA) of 1998.
